Born & Raised in the Netherlands
Doctor of  Audiology – Arizona School of Health Sciences (2006)
M.S. in Audiology – Univ of Wisc – Oshkosh (1983)
Speech Language Pathologist – Heerlen  Netherlands  (1979)
Co-owner of Fox Valley Hearing Center, an audiology practice in the Fox Valley, for nearly 25 years
Resides in Oshkosh with her husband of nearly 40 years, LeRoy “Max” Maxfield
They have two children:
   Joëlle – involved with building an electric aircraft kit in Mittagong, Australia
   Lars – studying towards a professional doctorate in Mechatronics at the TU/e (Tech Univ Eindhoven)Netherlands)

Key points regarding hearing aids and Cis from my Feb 2020 presentation:

  1. They not restore hearing to normal
  2. Their effective range is limited
  3. Individuals’ ability to benefit, varies widely  
  4. In large public places they make all sounds louder
