“Should I consider a cochlear implant?” It’s a common question from people with hearing loss, and the Sarasota/Manatee chapter of HLAA schedules opportunities throughout the year for representatives of three manufacturers of FDA-approved cochlear implants to present new developments. Virgi Mills, M.E.D. will share information about MED-EL’s approach to cochlear implants, and other implantable hearing solutions, and help you answer this question.
 
A certified Educator in the state of FL for students with hearing loss, Virgi Mills is also a bilateral MED-EL cochlear implant recipient. One of her passions is encouraging others on their hearing loss journeys by providing strategies for self-directed aural rehabilitation.
