Central Florida Chapter Hearing Loss meeting May 1, 2018

May is Better Hearing Month

The Hearing Loss Association of America-Central Florida will be having our next meeting on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Churchill Street Recreation Center, 2375 Churchill Downs, The Villages, FL 32162 in the Triple Crown room starting at 1:00 p.m.  Our meeting will run until 2:30 p.m..

Our guest speaker, Tiffany Jack, HAS,BC-HIS, with Connect Hearing, will present the basics of symtoms & signs of hearing loss, diagnosing/assessing the loss and explaining the differences in what type of hearing aids there are out there on the market.    You’d be surprised  how little people actually know why one can wear a tiny hearing aid and why another has a bigger one, plus some need the mold in the ear wheras others have that little bud inside the ear instead.

Sandra Robertson, OEI Representative (Outreach,Education & installation)  with CapTel Captioned Telephones will also be on hand to demonstrate the latest in captioned phones.

The Triple Crown room is looped for your hearing assistance.    If you have any questions please contact Jan Sharp at 352-751-4532 or Muriel Raine at murhlaacntrfl@gmail.com.
